I'll be doing a little bit of back blogging here! Went to the Science Centre last, last Friday with Jaslyn. Kinda cool. There were some familiar exhibits but many more newer ones. We went to the Water: H20 = Life exhibition and watched Dinosaurs Alive at the Omni Theatre. I was telling Jaslyn that I want to be a student volunteer when I have the time. I still remember when I was still in Shuqun Secondary School, Mr Liu actually brought some of us to the Science Centre as student volunteers. I was with Crystal and we went around playing and even took the simulator rides for free! Well, those were the days. I feel so old now. I started my new job last Sunday (29 June 2008) at an art gallery. :) I so love my new job. Although is at Douby Ghaut which it's like so far from my house, but I really enjoy working there. The job scope is pretty simple. All you have to do is to sit there and relax, and just enjoy the paintings. I only have to work on Sundays. Plus, I get to have a 10% commission for every painting sold. BUT I haven't sold a single piece. Gosh, it's been two sessions. Not a single one?
We had movie marathon in SP last Friday from 8pm to 8am. But I had Astro before that so I was late. There was supposed to be an overnight star-gazing session but due to the clouds, it was cancelled. And so two of my Astro friends crashed the movie marathon. However, we only watched one movie - Rogue. The second movie was Ah Long Pte Ltd. But since we have already watched it, we decided to have a night walk in school but when we were at Food Court 5, we actually saw three metors consecutively. And so we rushed to the stadium to catch more metors instead. Then at around 4am, we walked to Clementi Central for breakfast and came back to the red bridge in SP at around 6am for sunrise. Well, it was really fun.
And after all of that, I actually stayed in school for a talk (Basic Care Giving Talk) organised by the SP Mentoring. The speaker was Paul Yuen. He's really nice but he's blind. I did enjoy the talk. It was only supposed to end at 3.30pm but I left early with Deva since I was so, so tired already. I'm not really a person who can remain awake for more than 30 hours. I'm more of a pig. It was really a long day for me but I love it. :)
Anyway, here's a good news! I'm taking up keyboard lessons in SP! Woot! It's freaking cheap. $54 for twelve lessons. Well, I had my second lesson last Tuesday. I was telling Pheobe and Jiajun last week after my first lesson that I want to learn An Jing (Quiet) by Jay Chou but I was only taught the theory. But surprise, surprise! Our second lesson was to learn how to play the chorus of An Jing. Yay.. I'm so in love with keyboard now.
By the way, my dad was surprised when I showed him my drawings. I don't know. Maybe he's always thought I could only draw stick men. Below is two of my only charcoal drawn pieces. The one on the left is my classmate, Darren and the other one is an old man which I drew from a photograph.

Li Ping or Pei Ling actually said the drawing on the left resembles Wu Zun (from Fahrenheit). Ha ha.. But that was only because she was looking at it upside down.
